Just a reminder that students are going curling again this afternoon.

Tomorrow, we will be going to the Sportsplex to swim in the afternoon. Buses leave the school at noon sharp and returns back by 3:30 pm.

We are also having our Pizza Book dinner for lunch before we go swimming for those students who have been reading this term. Just bring a drink and your snacks to go along with the pizza.

I am asking students to take home clothing that needs to be washed liked gym garments. They can take home other unnecessary material just taking up room in their lockers.eg. lunch kits, tupper wear, etc.

Just wanted to take this opportunity to say thanks for the support that I receive in class from parents who stay in touch, volunteer their time, and keep up with your child’s progress. Without this assistance, things would go nowhere near as smooth as it does in 6BC. Thanks again and have a restful, festive holiday season.

It is good to see that 12 students have already signed up and paid for the Sportsplex swim next Friday on Invite Right. If the other 7 could finish up the process this weekend or as early as they can next week that would be grand.😀If for whatever reason your child has reasons he or she can not go, please get in touch with me in some form. It is a school activity, and we would like to see all students there if possible. It should be a fun way to end off December!😀

Hello, families!

Just a heads up for the next couple of weeks before the holiday break.

1. Holiday Cheer Bake Sale— We will be hosting a bake sale (2 Grade 6 classes and Mrs. Green’s Grade 7’s) on Thursday, Dec. 13, where proceeds will be going to the community Cheer Fund that will make some kids who wouldn’t have much during the holidays a little happier. Our class  normally goes shopping for two kids in the community. If students could start bringing in a dozen or two baked goods starting on Monday, we will store them until Thursday when the sale begins. Leftovers will be sold the Friday following.
2. We will be swimming at the Sportsplex in Brandon on Friday, December 21st in the afternoon between 1:00pm and 2:30pm. Mrs. Rowley assures me that the Invite Right will be ready by Friday at the latest with the cost and swim classification form on it.
3. We are going over for the RJ Waugh Dress Rehearsal on Tuesday, December 18th from 1:15 pm to 2:15 pm. This will give the small school an audience to practice in front of.

I am sure there will be a few more things, and I will update this blog post as I know more.

Just a reminder that Mrs. Birch will be taking the Grade 6’s over to the rink for skating today at 2:15 for gym. I checked with her and she mentioned that students could also bring sticks if they want.
