SS Test #4
A Little Curling Info for Learning and Enjoyment
Winter Activities Invite Right
As our curling bonspiel starts with the practice on Wednesday, students and parents need to sign up on Invite Right asap. Wednesday is the deadline, but the sooner the better. Teams and draw are on a previous post. I am really looking forward to seeing the students participate in this special activity. The grade 6’s are the wily veterans and will help the grade 5’s get organized. Please contact me if you have any questions!
Thanks,
Mr. Clark
Curling Bonspiel Draw and Teams
Friday Ramblings
It was a good, active, and productive week in 6BC. I will post a picture of the teams and draw sometime today for the Grade 5-6 Curling Bonspiel next week. Should help parents and grandparents plan their viewing schedules.
Students had their first math assessment based on curricular outcomes on Wednesday. The results were very positive and confirming. Well done to all of you and for all your reviewing.
All Bridge to Terabithia work booklets were handed in on time, thus, we are watching the second half of the movie today. Good things happen when deadlines are kept. Good efforts!
Oral presentations are ongoing this week and next. The demos done so far have been creative, fun, and yummy!
Just a reminder for patrols that we do not send you out if the windchill is -30C or below! Thank you for your continued commitment.
Thank you to parents for your constant support during these colder days of winter.
Regards,
Mr. Clark

End of Week Thoughts!
Sorry, it has been a while! So much is going on in our school these days.
1) Students did a fabulous job in their concert this week. I was so proud of the way our class really committed to the tasks of singing, acting, and participating. Good job.
2) Final deadline for handing in your Bridge to Terabithia work is Tuesday, February 6th. We have had a couple people sick the last few days and thought that they needed an extra day or two to finish.
3) Math Assessments are coming up next week, and our students having been working hard at reviewing their concepts and curriculum outcomes. Good luck to all.
4) In Social Studies, unit work goes on, but we have also done projects on Animals Native to Canada and a Canadian Landmarks project where students are trying to find 100 famous places in Manitoba and Canada.
5) Curling Bonspiel material will be coming out next week to give parents and grandparents some dates and times.
6) Students having been teaching the edits in class in the mornings. What progress we have been making with parts of speech and grammar!
7) Floor hockey intramurals and science fair club have started up for interested students.
8) Thank you for patrols. I know it is cold, but you have shown great resilience!
Thanks,
Mr. Clark
