Teacher and Room Decorating

A reminder to all students in the 6BC class to bring in all needed supplies and decorations to spruce up Mr. Clark as a Christmas Tree and the room as well. We will be decorating first thing Tuesday morning. The teachers will then parade around the school!

Yours nervously,

Mr. Clark

Conference Reminder

Tonight, tomorrow night, and Friday morning are the three sessions for our Student Led Conferences. If you are still unsure of your child’s conference time, please check the main Carberry Collegiate site for Mr. Clark’s student times.

As well as sharing the work done by your son or daughter could you please check lockers and “lost and found” for missing clothing and lunch containers!

Lastly, could parents take home a journal writing theme handout and graphic organizer from the conference for after Christmas Break. The students will be doing lots of writing and this is a way for parents to assist in the process.

Again, thank you for all your support this term!

Mr. Robert Clark

Presentations

Starting next week, students will be presenting any of the Great Canadian presentations left over, some of the Canadian Events that are ready to go, and will get time to work on their next oral presentations. Each of these three areas will be completed before the Christmas break. It has been exciting to see students go through the creation of these presentations, and I, personally, can not wait to witness and evaluate them.

Also, looking forward to seeing lots of parents out for student led conferences after their sons and daughter receive their first report cards of the year. It will be very exciting and illuminating!

Just a reminder that winter is nearly here, and I still see some pretty thin coats and an absence of hats, gloves, and boots on some students. Please dress appropriate. We are trying to stay away from the frostbite.

A thank you to patrols that are braving through this cooler weather. Your efforts are truly appreciated.

Have a great day!

Mr. Clark

Week Ending-Nov. 7

As we quickly come to the end of the first term, just a few reminders for students. Any outstanding work for myself or Mrs. Coates has to be handed in immediately if it is to be considered for your first report card. This may include any writing assignments, problem solving activities, art projects, or signed tests.

I returned a number of the vocabulary tests on Thursday, but still have a couple more to return. Once you have them, please get your parent to sign it and hand it back in.

We will be having our Remembrance Day service on Monday. Remember to wear a poppy. We will have some at the school to buy with a minimal donation. That does mean that Tuesday is a day off from school as we remember those that have served our country in wars, battles, and peacekeeping missions! We are so fortunate to live in Canada and have the luxury of peace in our country.

Keep an eye for information coming home about Student Led Conference appointment times. I will do my best to try and accommodate all parents and guardians.

Have a nice weekend!

Mr. Clark
